Trent Reznor Interview on Digg

Surfing the internet the other night I ran into this great interview with Trent Reznor from NIN on digg.com (http://www.digg.com/dialogg/Trent_Reznor) were he answered viewer questions including his perspective on the current record business.

Thought it was one of the best interviews I've seen of him. Very candid and personal. Even funny at times (see were they ask him his most embarassing song on his Ipod).

Also loved how when they asked him what's the way he finds most new music nowadays and he said 'blogs or word of mouth from friends.' Ha, just like most of us! That's how I've been doing it for quite some time. Even recommends that artists seek out blogs that they like and try to get on those to reach out to those audiences. Genious idea!

He also goes on to say if people are honest you can find almost any piece of music online for Free, so might be a good idea to give music away in hopes that people will go to your shows/buy merch and bigger fans can always buy more expensive deluxe box sets, etc. The honesty is quite refreshing...
