Young Riverside, California band The New Division recently released an EP entitled The Rookie and as their name might imply they are influenced by bands like Joy Division and New Order, except their sound is more akin to the current chillwave/dreamwave vibe that has been popular for a while now. I picked up the EP the other day randomly and I'm digging the entire 6 track EP. Not a bad track in the bunch!
Check out the single "Starfield" and another one of my favorites "No Health" below. "Nocturnal" is excellent as well! If you like what you hear I'd recommend picking that EP up. You can stream/buy the EP on their bandcamp page or iTunes.
