Have you seen the new Grimes video for "Go" ft Blood Diamonds? Saw it last night on the front page of Pitchfork. Supposedly it was a track she wrote for Rihanna and it definitely has a much more mainstream festival/big club type of sound. Big bass & big drops. The video direction is supposed to be inspired by Dante's Inferno as you travel through the different circles of hell, but also as Grimes wrote in a statement "in the usual fashion it is also abstract enough to just be a trippy visual accompaniment to the song". Check it...

Florrie :: Little White Lies (Moon Boots Remix)
Sometimes it's hard to differentiate between genre's these days. Is it house? Nu-disco? Who cares, as long as it's good, right? Prime example is this new remix by Moon Boots for Florrie's "Little White Lies". Not sure what genre it would be classified as, but it's good and that's what should matter.
Check out the tune below, which should fit nicely into your playlists this summer. Right as we sail smoothly into the fall.
Bondax :: All I See (Darius Remix)
Here's a cool little housey number I ran across. It's a remix by Darius for Bondax's "All I See". One of my beefs with house music is that it can sometimes get a bit repetitive and many times it has little to no vocals. This one does non of the above. Great poppy vocals and snappy summer beats = winner!
Check out the goods below, then get to dancing.
Little Dragon :: Pretty Girls (Gold Fields Remix)
A friend of mine told me about this Gold Fields remix for Little Dragon's "Pretty Girls" a while ago, but I couldn't find the soundcloud for it. That is until today when I was searching for new music and bam there it was. Staring me in the face. Yay! Real smooth and downtempo remix that they are offering as a free download in exchange for your email. What's not to love? Best grab that sucker.
Coucheron :: Deep End ft Eastside & Mayer Hawthorne (Matoma Remix)
As I was looking for new tunes I ran across this gem of a remix by Matoma for Coucheron's "Deep End" ft Eastside & Mayor Hawthorne. Such a slick and subdued tropical sounding remix. It is a master stroke that I can hear over and over. The fact that it's a free download only made me wanna post this up even sooner for our readers. Can't wait to hear more from this talented fellow.
Grouplove :: I'm With You (STRFKR Remix)
So Grouplove and labelmates STRFKR are out on tour together, as a sign of goodwill STRFKR has remixed Grouplove's single "I'm With You" to spectacular effect. A great indie dance reinterpretation that is shinny and bubbly to the max. If this doesn't put a smile on your face you may be a certifiable grouch.
Check that out that remix below, and if you like what you hear they are offering the track as a free download.
Hunters of the Alps :: Light Away / Time (How to Love)
Miami electronic band and buddies Hunters of the Alps just sent us a couple new tracks that they've released "Light Away" and "Time (How to Love)". Digging them both! Real catchy tunes that will get stuck in your head in no time. If you live in the South Florida area they will be performing live at The Stage Saturday, Sept 6th and as part of the III Points Festival along with Lykke Li, Flying Lotus, Metronomy, Tiga and many others in Wynwood, October 10-12th. Pretty excited for that! Until then check out the new tunes below.
Night Drive :: Where I End and You Begin (Radiohead Cover)
Talk about a cover! This cover/video Austin electro-pop duo Night Drive did for Radiohead's "Where I End and You Begin" is out of this world! So completely/unrecognizably different from the original which is how many of us prefer them. They definitely took this track and made it their own. Giorgio Moroder would approve!
Check out that track/video below, plus a sweet remix for Arcade Fire's "We Exist". Tons of other cool stuff & free downloads on their soundcloud and facebook page.
Say Lou Lou X Lindstrom :: Games for Girls
Looking for a new jam? Check out this track by the duo Say Lou Lou who teamed up with the amazing Lindstrom to bring us "Games for Girls", which is pretty much an instant classic. Super catchy dance jam that should be lighting up a dance floor near you. It is being released Oct 12th and it is off their upcoming debut album 'Lucid Dreaming' which is being released Feb 2nd, 2015. That is quite awhile's away so this jam will have to suffice. Hopefully we'll get another track or two before then.
P.S. Whoever is doing their styling and photography is on point! They got a super cool vintage 70's look and they are very easy on the eyes.
Tokyo Police Club - Hot Tonight (Togetherness Remix)
As I was in the middle of my addiction (looking for new music) I ran into this remix of Tokyo Police Club's "Hot Tonight" by Togetherness which is Nicky Paul and Ross Clark of St. Lucia. It literally stopped me in my tracks and had me posting this before I even finished my music search. Like the song says it is 'Hot Tonight'. Such a great remix. This will definitely be making into my DJ Sets, that is if I can figure out where to get it. Anyways check out the smooth sounds below.
Tobtok ft. Emil Heró - Higher (Oliver Nelson & Skogsrå Remix)
Here at OTR we like to think we can spot a jam and here my friends we believe we have found one. Check out this Oliver Nelson & Skogsra remix for Tobtok's debut single "Higher" ft Emil Hero that has a perfect summertime vibe that will work perfectly as you're having a pina colada by the pool/beach. Makes us wanna go now, except it's like 9:30 at night. It will have to wait, but you guys can start grooving to this now. If you like what you hear you can purchase the track on beatport.
No Limits :: Body Full of Lightning
Got sent this great track "Body Full of Lightning" by two 20 year old's from Lebron James hometown of Akron, Ohio called No Limits. Digging the track which has a nice mid-tempo and features a nice mixture of traditional instruments and synths/electronics (one of my favorite combos). That and there's hardly no good indie being put out these days, so when you run across a good tune you're immediately struck, "woo, that's good!" Did I mention it's a free download? Yep, in exchange for a Facebook like. Get to liking...
Willow Beats :: Merewif
Really digging the sultry vocals and tribal electronic bleeps & beats of Australian duo Willow Beats new single "Merewif" from their forthcoming EP. Definitely different from everything out at the moment, and that is a good thing!
Check out the soundcloud and underwater video for "Merewif" below. If you like what you hear you can buy the single on iTunes. Glad to have you guys on our Radar.
Parade of Lights :: Golden (RII Remix)
Digging this indie dance remix sent our way by LA duo RII for Parade of Light's track "Golden". When the chorus hits around the 1:17 and 2:49 mark it really kicks into full on dance mode. Definitely one that will fit in nicely into my DJ sets. What's even nicer is that they are offering the remix as a free download. Gotta love that. Check it.
Miami Horror :: Wild Motion (Set It Free)
New Miami Horror single/video "Wild Motion (Set it Free)" and a sophomore album being released later this year?!? We'll take it! Check out their bubbly new indie pop jam, plus their animated video for it below. Definitely has a nice summer vibe to it. An almost let's get this wrapped up here, or maybe we'll take one more lap before it's all said and done.
Goldroom :: Till Sunrise ft Mammals
Even though Goldroom released the stems for his new track "Till Sunrise" ft Mammals prior to the release of the single, his PR rep and I are in agreement that his original version is still the best version out there! I mean there's bound to be a few amazing re-interpretations, but this is one solid dreamy pop jem, as per usual for the talented producer.
Eyedress :: My Hologram
Got recommended this artist Eyedress from the Philippines and his new single "My Hologram" and I was blown away! So good! Electronic deliciousness with lovely female vocals a la bands like Crystal Castles. Can't get enough.
Check out the soundcloud for "My Hologram" below which is being offered as a free download, plus the amazing animated video which is also breathtaking. Keep an eye on this up and comer which has already been featured on the Annie Mac show.
Street Fever :: Dark Circuits
Boise, Idaho synth wave solo artist Street Fever contacted us about the release of his Debut EP 'Blood Line' which comes out later this month. The first single he sent our way is called "Dark Circuits" and it is one sweet piece of dark, futuristic analog synth amazingness! It belongs on a soundtrack to a bad ass sci-fi movie, which is also one of the main influences for his music. The sound also matches his amazing daft punk meets the borg sci-fi gear. Just don't know how he can play live with that on?
Check out "Dark Circuits" below. Hear more amazingness on his soundcloud. Can't wait to check out the rest of that 'Blood Line' EP.
Phoenix :: 1901 (J-Art & Madan Remix)
Can never have enough remixes, especially when they are as good as this island summer vibes re-interpretation of the classic Phoenix track "1901" sent to us by J-Art & Madan. Talk about smooth, I can hear this over and over. Best part is it's being offered as a free download. Grab it, then get to summer vibing.
Solidisco :: Work Your Body
Got sent this hyper active dance jam "Work Your Body" by Solidisco that is peak time 2 am get your freak on at the club. Best part is they are giving away the track for free in exchange for a facebook like. We really like that. Check out the goods below...
Spoon :: They Want My Soul
Great news Spoon fans! Next Tuesday, August 5th Spoon will be releasing their 8th studio album 'They Want My Soul'. It had been way too long since I heard the heavenly voice of lead singer Britt Daniel. The album is available free to stream on iTunes and I am loving it! Really fun sounding! They sound fresher and more inspired than they have in years. It probably doesn't hurt to have legendary producer Dave Fridmann helping out, and having a nice break in between albums (it had been 4 years since 2010's 'Transference').
Check out the video/soundcloud for new single "Do You" below, then be sure to grab this baby once it's released next week. Sure it will end up on many best of the year lists once December rolls along.
