Chicos :: Hooked (Lefti Remix)

Here at OTR we are always looking for that new jam for you, and we are pretty sure we found one in the form of this Lefti remix of Chico's track "Hooked" sitting pretty in our inbox today. It's an all NYC affair with this remixer/artist combo and they've given us a hell of an up-tempo pop dance jam, which they are also offering as a free download!? What's not to like?!

Miss Velvet :: Cincinnati Street (PNAU Remix)

Holy hell this remix is good. There's not one thing about this remix that is not amazing. When that bass kicks in, watch out! Of course it is a Pnau remix, how could it not be amazing? Plus Miss Velvet who he's developing, wow! Super star in the making. Amazing voice. Amazing jam. Check it...

Go Periscope :: Wait For You

Summer is slowly inching closer, and this track "Wait For You" that Seattle trio Go Periscope sent our way is reminding us of that. Almost time for those frozen margaritas poolside under the warm summer sun, or if you're lucky like us in Miami, right by the ocean as the waves hit the coast. Loving the tropical vibes of "Wait For You", especially the fact that they are giving the tune away as a free download in exchange for a twitter or soundcloud follow. That sounds perfectly fair to us.

Check out the goodness below, then get to vibing...

Giorgio Moroder ft Britney Spears :: Tom's Diner (Suzanne Vega Cover)

I never thought I'd be posting about Britney Spears (although she did have a couple jams like "Toxic"), but then she goes and works with the amazing Giorgio Moroder to do a cover of 90's classic "Tom's Diner" by Suzanne Vega, and she nails it! Shows you what a great producer can do. Love the vocal effect they use on her and the catchy guitar riffs. We even get the maestro Giorgio himself doing some vocals of his own, albeit hidden behind plenty of effects.

The cover is from his forthcoming June 12th album 'Deja Vu', which happens to be his first new album in 30 years and features plenty of collaborations with current and established stars like Britney, Charli XCX, SIA, Kylie Minogue, and more. Can't wait to hear it!

Check out that cover, and the tracklisting of the new album below. Time go faster, time go faster, go.

Tremends :: The Ones

Everything in music cycles, just like in fashion and most other things. At the moment guitars aren't very fashionable. There aren't too many great indie rock bands out there, but that could change quickly and almost assuredly will in the not too distant future. All it takes is one amazing guitar record creating a buzz like The Strokes did with their 2001 debut album Is This It. Then bam there will be tons of guitar bands cropping up everywhere.

That being said here are some guys ahead of the curve from our very own back yard called Tremends. They sent us their new single "The Ones" and it is excellent! It gives me a very indie rock/brit-pop feel. Like they could easily be coming from somewhere in England or Europe. Nope Miami it is, and they are awesome!

Check out the tune below, and if you dig it they are giving the track away as a Free Download! Get it.

chrisfamiliar :: Crystal ft Death in Saturn

Miami's Death in Saturn that we posted about last year here, sent us their new single "Crystal" that they did with chrisfamiliar. It is one great minimal electronic pop song! Albert Vargas the man behind Death in Saturn and Kodiak Fur is def one of our fave musicians from Miami. He's got very similar tastes. Always putting out amazing tunes. Keep it up brother! Check out the goodness below, and become a fan.

Hot Chip :: Need You Now (Video)

Hot Chip released another taste from their upcoming album 'Why Make Sense' in the form of a new video for the track "Need You Now". It's the housiest we've ever heard Hot Chip be, and it's really good!

Jeb :: Do You Love Me Still?

Sorry been so busy lately, haven't been able to post much. It isn't for a lack of amazing submissions though. We get sent so much amazing music, it's incredible how much excellent underground music there is out there. Like this amazing track "Do You Love Me Still?" sent our way by newcomer Jeb, who I can't seem to find out where he's from, except for a mention of the United States. Kinda vague there... Anyways, his track "Do You Still Love Me?" is top notch indie pop! Love those lovely guitar riffs in the chorus. Check out the goodness below...

Chromatics :: In Films

Ummm, New CHROMATICS track "IN FILMS"!!! Not only is it shiny, amazing and new, but they are also offering it as a FREE DOWNLOAD?! (might be a mistake, better grab that quick).

Love these guys, still jam their 2012 album 'Kill For Love'. New album 'Dear Tommy' is out soon. Can't wait!

This new track gives me an M83 vibe. What do you guys think?
