Just got back from Chicago where I attended Pitchfork Music Festival over the weekend! Love that city! Had a blast and I saw some amazing acts that really got me back into the whole dreamy shoegazey thing, like Wild Nothing and Twin Sister.So, upon my return, I was excited to see that the masters of shoegaze M83 have recently released a new single! The track, titled "Midnight City" is off their upcoming LP Hurry Up, We're Dreaming and, from its spacey rock meets electro-pop stylings to the sax solo that chimes in at the end, it is absolutely fantastic! As it's title suggests, this is the perfect track to roll down those windows, crank your car stereo all the way up and get you in the mood for a night out on these big city hot summer nights.
