Outriders :: Drop It (EP)

Talk about young talent. Outriders is the solo project of 18 year old Mexican producer/DJ Angel Vergara. This month he released his 'Drop It' EP which is basically two tracks "Drop It" and "Fap Me" which are pretty varied and you can check out below. In particular I'm really digging the self titled track "Drop It" which has a classic Daft Punk dance type of vibe.

Human League :: Don't You Want Me (Inigo Vontier Version)

Got sent this excellent re-work of Human League's classic 80's tune "Don't You Want Me" by Mexico's Inigo. He re-did everything including the female vocals from scratch. Although I would've liked if he kept more of the lyrics, I think he did a solid job. He calls it a "DJ friendly space disco track". I can agree with that assessment. It will definitely be making into my DJ sets. Maybe for you as well?

Carla Morrison :: Eres Tú

Carla Morrison is from Mexico. Her music is very 1930's esque with a mixture of pop-rock and in Spanish. Si, en español. "Eres Tú" is the third single from her album Dejame Llorar.

The Mexican singer's song can best be described as something you listen to while waking up on the sunny side of a beautiful Sunday morning. Enjoy!

Bufi :: The Dancefloor Slayer

Hmmm seems I've been hearing more and more cool stuff coming out of Mexico lately. I never would have thought. Possible scene developing there? We shall see...

Got this great italo/electro-pop sounding track the other day called 'We Begin' from Bufi who is Mateo Gonzalez and resides in Mexico City. On top of doing amazing remixes for artists such as Cassius he also has a record label called Le Touch Records along with a sweet matching blog of the same name 'Le Touch' . Didn't know he ran it, but Le Touch also happens to be the only spanish music blog I read on a consistent basis. Great content on there! Definitely worth checking out. Seems they have a Black Jesus over there as well. Mario and Xavier you better look into that ;)
