Win Passes to see Deerhoof and Ken Kagami

The NADA Art Show Preview Party
Ice Palace Studios
Tuesday, December 4th, 8:30PM
1400 North Miami Ave

These are special price passes for reduced admission (regular tickets are upwards of $100 to $200 the day of the show! See online.). It's hard enough to get into special events during Basel, let alone pay less than the general public.

All you gotta do is leave a comment with your favorite Art Basel memory or what you would like that memory to be and we will randomly pick 2 responses to get 2 fliers each for reduced admission. LEAVE a way to contact you on the comment (email, MySpace, phone, beeper, etc...)

*Since the show is next week, we won't have time to mail them out, you will have to visit Ray at Circa28 for CircaSaturdays or Purdy Lounge for Chocolate Sundays (backroom) to pick them up. Deadline is Saturday evening~ish.

My favorite Art Basel moment took place two years back at a temporary outdoor gallery that was setup down the street from The District (RIP). It was sponsored by some rum company and they hired Brazilian models to mix tasty Caipirinhas for the mobs. I was lucky enough to meet one of the Brazilian models' sisters (no joke) and we discussed the setting and entire Art Basel experience over a few coktails. Next thing I know, we were on our way to PawnShop (back when it was fun) for some Basel afterparty to dance the night away. The rest as they say, is history. ;)

My fave art basel memory was last year. Working for ICAS booth for photo miami's event....I saw some pretty big artists, Orlan being 1 of them. We met and had a wonderful conversation about art and life. I saw her implanted devilish horns in her head. Strange yet, entertaining to say the least.

My favorite moment would have to be 4 years ago. I had a panic attack in the convention center and decided to walk to art positions to get some air, had to lay down on the way to avoid passing out. Finally dragged my anxious ass to the beach and got drunk on overpriced beer. the end.

too bad i wont be able to make it to either of those nights this weekend if i win =( maybe theres another way.
