Black Affair is Steve Mason, formerly of The Beta Band. He creates sleek, nocturnal synth-pop that is as dark as it is sexy. The debut album, Pleasure Pressure Point, was released in the fall of 2008.
Overall, the album has a retro feel but still sounds modern. I can definitely hear shades of classic 80's influences, such as New Order, Depeche Mode, Japan, etc. If you dig cold and detached electro-pop, then be sure to pick up this album.
Here are a couple of my favorite tracks from the record.
