What's that thing they tell brides they need for their wedding day? "Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue"? Well that's how I would describe the sound of NY's The Phenomenal Handclap Band. It has that soul/funk element that makes you want to move your feet with just a little hint of psychedelic guitars. Plus the microphone is never reserved to just one vocalist which brings a freshness to every track. Their integrity as musicians resonates in their sound. They just put out a really captivating video for the song "Baby" (below). RCRDLBL premiered an Architeq Dub remix that takes this track to a whole other level with it's electronic interpretation of this sexy love song.
