NYC buzz band The Drums have been on my radar for a few months now. The lead singer used to be the lead singer for electro-pop band Elkland (which I was really into until they self imploded a few years ago.) Was kinda waiting for something new to be released for me to post about them and today is that day. Received an email this morning with a sweet Saint Etienne Remix of their single "Forever and Ever Amen" (that is stupendous) as well as a fresh new video for the track. That sounds about right to me. They will be releasing their self titled debut album next week on June the 7th via iTunes here and it seems they have just returned from the UK were they were opening up for Florence and the Machine! They are well on their way. Get to know The Drums because I think soon lots of people will.
In addition here is one of their tracks that I found on Hype Machine "Best Friend" that is one of my faves and the album opener.
