New Interactive Arcade Fire Video + Remixes

If you are like me and my friends we have all been pretty much obsessed with the new Arcade Fire album 'The Suburbs'. Even friends who have different tastes from mine agree how amazing the record is, which makes me believe it truly is a classic. I'm certain it will be topping many of 'Best of' lists come December.

Anyways Arcade Fire recently released an interactive video for their track "We Used to Wait" that you can see here. There's a you tube version of it, but it kind of defeats the purpose of having an interactive video. You really have to see it there to fully experience it. They recommend you use Google Chrome, but I saw it on Firefox and it was still pretty sweet. It asks you to type in the city you grew up in and from that it incorporates google maps to show you those areas while the video's playing. Pretty sweet!

Also since I'm a DJ I'm always looking for cool remixes to play out at the clubs, particularly of indie hits that I love like Arcade Fire. Last week I heard my DJ friend Rydon playing a Tommie Sunshine remix of "Sprawl II", my favorite/stand out track from the new album. Got me pretty excited that I can now play this track out in my electro/nu disco sets. Thank you Tommie Sunshine, you are always on the ball! Also thank you to Rydon for bringing it to my attention ;)

Here is that remix, plus another remix for the track I found on Hype Machine by Thunderlust that I think I like even better than Tommie's version. Download these babies and play these out loud, especially if you're a DJ. Spread the good music to dance clubs all across the land.
