Tarzan Boy

Last week when I was spinning for a Burlesque Show a magician they had used a CD of music for his set. One of the tracks on there was this classic 1985 track by Baltimora called Tarzan Boy.

Ever since then I've had that track stuck in my head. So much so that I had to get it. Such a classic Italo Disco/New Wave track from the era. I think it holds up really well. That Tarzan intro is classic and the vocals are hard to beat.

Seems they were mainly a one hit wonder with this being their very first single that they released.

Thought I'd share this classic with you. It really is a guilty pleasure so hope you don't throw me under the bus, but hey we all have our cheesy tracks that we like.

Here is the video for it as well which is pretty funny. Totally 80's!!!

I have a friend who we make sing the entire song (he knows the lyrics) whenever we're drunk. And then we laugh uncontrollably that he knows the lyrics...

I have a funny feeling that this was an irish guy who was based in Italy (cos this was on Now 6, or something). Cheesy, but funny as heck! And reminds me of being eight years old and as carefree as I would ever be...

Yeah I questioned Ray yesterday about it's "italo" roots. Either way, I just like that my last name is kinda in the band name. LOL.

WOW! You should feel guilty Ray! But, you are correct, we all have ours. You hit a soft spot or a hard song to listen to for me. This reminds me when I was 15 and where I lived back then was the local fave! It falls up there with Kon Kan and Falco. 'Till this day I can not listen to it again, until now of course... you know, since the relation to Chris.
