Peaches

Who would have thought all those years ago that Peaches would rise to the top of all the electroclash acts from the early 00's and be making the biggest splash in 2009. I certainly didn't! Not with the likes of Fischerspooner, Miss Kittin, Adult, Ladytron, etc., but it seems she may be doing that with the release of her new album 'I Feel Cream' set for release May the 4th. I've never been a huge fan of her entire albums, rather singles here and there, but I will reserve judgement on this new one till I hear the whole thing.

She has gotten just about all the hottest electronic music producers/artists of the moment to contribute to this album. From Soulwax to Simian Mobile Disco and Digitalism. So it's gotta be better from that alone, no? I mean if you have Picasso helping you draw.

Of all the tracks I've heard so far 'Talk To Me' is my favorite and it seems she thought the same, as she's made it her first single and just released a new video for it over the week-end, complete with a sweet new haircut! Good choice Peaches! Super catchy track that I'm sure will light up the dancefloor the way 'Boys Wanna Be Her' still does.

Here's the mp3 and video for it. Plus 'Boys' that I mentioned from 2006's 'Impeach My Bush'. Enjoy!

(** UPDATE :: Heard the album. Upon first listen's it's pretty darn good! Probably her best yet. Some classic Peaches tracks mixed in with some electro/dancier kinda stuff. The influences definitely show, for the better I think. Should help her keep older fans and make some newer/younger ones)
