French singer and multi-instrumentalist Sebastian Tellier is back, with a brand new offering entitled Kilometer EP. It highlights Kilometer and Roche... two songs from last year's Sexuality album which was produced by Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo, of Daft Punk fame.The new EP, features remixes by some of the most talked about producers of 2009: A-Trak (DMC Champion and Kanye West’s DJ), Aeroplane ‘Italo 84’, Kavinsky and Arpanet. All the remixes are great, but my favorites so far are the A-Trak remix of Kilometer and Kavinsky's take on Roche. The former is a great nu disco jam, with a great bass line and electro pop synths reminiscent of Chromeo (due to the fact that A-Trak's big brother , Dave 1 of Chromeo, co-produced the track with him).
The latter is a laid-back version of the song which reminds me a lot of Air and some of the mellower Daft Punk tracks. All in all, a very good EP. I highly recommend you go out and get it!
