Lali Puna :: Two Windows

The amazing Lali Puna is back! Two Windows is their first new album since 2010's Our Inventions. I forgot how much I missed Lali Puna's gorgeous minimal electronic pop sound and lead singer Valerie's silky smooth voice. I can hear those bleeps and bloops with Valerie's beautiful melodies forever and a day. This new album is their best since 2001's Scary World Theory which is saying a-lot, because I LOVE Scary World Theory! This one's right up there with their best, and so many years into their career is very impressive. They have not lost a step.

Check out first single/video for "Deep Dream", plus their video for title track "Two Windows",  which if you like you should just run to get Two Windows. Sooo good!

Junior Boys :: Big Black Coat

Loving the new Junior Boys album Big Black Coat. It is their fifth album and their first new album since 2011's It's All True. That is way too long to not have new music from Junior Boys. At least it was not a let down. The record is fantastic and classic Junior Boys. Minimal electronic pop goodness.

Check out a couple tracks. Title track "Big Black Coat", "Over It", plus their stylin' new video for "Big Black Coat".

Opal Blue :: Way Down

Got sent this excellent dark electronic track "Way Down" by faceless London duo Opal Blue. It is made up of reprocessed vocals and out-of-tune instruments, and it is pretty amazing! It is their first track from their upcoming debut EP She Goes Deep. If this track is any indication of what's to come, we are in for a treat!

chrisfamiliar :: Crystal ft Death in Saturn

Miami's Death in Saturn that we posted about last year here, sent us their new single "Crystal" that they did with chrisfamiliar. It is one great minimal electronic pop song! Albert Vargas the man behind Death in Saturn and Kodiak Fur is def one of our fave musicians from Miami. He's got very similar tastes. Always putting out amazing tunes. Keep it up brother! Check out the goodness below, and become a fan.

Lane 8 :: Diamonds ft Solomon Grey

Speaking of smooth, they don't get much smoother than Lane 8's latest groove "Diamonds" ft Solomon Grey. Amazing minimal electronic/house jam that has been stuck on repeat at OTR. Check out the goods below...

Kodiak Fur :: Selena

One of my favorite Miami bands Kodiak Fur has released a new single "Selena" and just like everything I've heard from them it is stellar! Smooth grooving jam that they also happen to be giving away as a free download?! Yes sir, best grab that sucker pronto. They will also be releasing their new EP Flowers later this month on February 25th. Cannot wait to check that out. I burned the hell out of their amazing self titled EP.

People From Venus :: Television

Our good friends People From Venus who made the trek from Miami to LA a while ago, sent us their latest track/video for "Television". The track according to them is an art piece more than a pop song using only one chord, that being "C". Here's what they had to say about the track, "The drums represent heart beats and what the world does to us and the synths are like Instagram and Facebook, where everything is perfect and pretty". The track reminds me of a minimal Radiohead or Lali Puna track. Really miss these fellows. If you guys live in LA be sure to support these super talented gentlemen, and be sure to say hi for us.

Falcon Punch & Black Amex :: Backstroke

The power of friend recommendation strikes again. This time my friend Lex (who is always sending me great stuff) posted this excellent track "Backstroke" by Falcon Punch & Black Amex on my Facebook page. Great almost instrumental electronic dance track that on top of being awesome, is also being offered as a free download. Gotta love that! Will definitely be incorporating this into my DJ sets. Check it out below...

Flight Facilities :: Clair De Lune (Video)

Flight Facilities latest single the much darker/minimal "Clair De Lune" that Mike posted about here, just put the finishing touches on their video for the track. They did a great job as we follow two lovely ladies through a night out on the town. The music and cinematography of this kinda reminds me of the movie Drive. Check it out below...

Von Haze :: Mother Mountain

Brooklyn psychedelic duo Von Haze that we posted about back in 2010 here sent us their latest video for their track "Mother Mountain" and we are loving it! A dark, minimal, ominous sounding track that would fit perfectly in a horror movie, kinda like the video they did for it. Check out the goods below...

Nightlife :: Radio (EP)

I love new music, especially when they come as a recommendation from one of our readers. It's like the circle of sharing is complete. Nightlife is a fine example of that. They are an electro-pop duo from Ann Arbor, MI who were brought to our attention and I am digging the sounds. Minimal electro-pop with pretty female vocals is kinda my weakness (although I have a few).  Check out their video/track for "On the Run", plus the EP title track "Radio". She sure is pretty. The kicker is their EP Radio is available as a name your own option on their bandcamp?!?! Yep, might wanna get that.

Me and My Drummer :: You're a Runner

Got sent this dark minimal electronic pop track/video "You're a Runner" by new Berlin duo Me and My Drummer. Really great tune. Has a dark feel to it, but uplifting at the same time. Can't download it, but you can stream it via their soundcloud below or check out their intense video for it. Get more info on them or buy the tune via their label Sinnbus.

Ice Cream Social

If minimal, electronic, sega/nintendo sounding music is your thing chances are you will love Irvine, California's Ice Cream Social. Sam the man behind ICS sent over his latest single/EP 'Positron' and I'm digging it! The 3 tracks all run under 2 mins and combined are probably shorter than most single tracks, but one thing's for sure they will have you pressing repeat many times. Check out/dl "Positron" and "Terra Nova" below. Grab more free goodies on his bandcamp.

Deep 88 :: Don't Play Minimal Play Minigolf (Video)

Got sent this great movie like video for Deep 88's track "Don't Play Minimal Play Minigolf". Gotta love artists with a sense of humor. Reminds me a bit of a Napolean Dynamite type of character. Oh and the music is pretty amazing too. House music that doesn't suck. Couldn't find his facebook, but here's his soundlcoud. Enjoy!

Ryden Ridge

Ryden Ridge is a young up and coming artist from Providence, RI who makes some great dreamy minimal electro-pop music. His rep recently contacted us with news about his new album 'Peacemaker' which was just released this week and I'm digging it. You can stream the whole thing via his bandcamp page. He is giving away three tracks from the album "Pretend", "Belong" and "I Know You" as free downloads. Check out two of those below.

Thanks for listening, hope you all get to dance, rest, eat, laugh, love and have tons of fun, it is the weekend after all. Cheers!

Toy Camera

Drew Harris from Germany Germany that we've covered before here has a new side project with Steph Thompson (aka) Stefaloo called Toy Camera. They have a new EP out called 'Blissful Youth' that is some real nice soothing minimal electronic music with lovely female vocals. Digging the 5 track EP which coincidentally is available as a free download via their bandcamp page. Check out a couple of my faves "Tall Trees" and "Summer Days".

M + A

Looking pretty in my inbox this week is this lovely minimal electro-pop tune by Italian duo M + A for their track "Liko Lene Lisa". Great jingly track with some nice horn action. The track is available as a free download via their soundcloud below. Seems over 10K people have already downloaded that sucker. Not too shabby. Their debut album 'Things. Yes' is scheduled for release November 7th on Monotreme Records. You can start your collection with this one.

The Sight Below

If you're looking for some minimal, dark, atmospheric electronic music to get into then look no further than Seattle solo artist The Sight Below from Ghostly Intl. Seems his latest album 'It All Falls Apart' was released earlier this year. Ghostly sent us two tracks from record "Burn Me Out From the Inside" and "Fervent" for our readers to listen to/download for free and I instantly loved them! Although not the usual upbeat, poppy electro-pop/indie rock kinda stuff I usually gravitate towards, it's got this eerie, pulsating atmospheric sound that captures your attention and won't let up until you hear the whole songs through. Not an easy feat for this type of music and my tastes. Fans of sparse electronic music with a dark edge to it will love these. Try it on for size as the night falls for extra effect.

Here are those two for you to digest. If you dig what you hear you can pick up the rest of that album at online retailers like Amazon or the Ghostly store here.

Error Operator

Error Operator is the alter ego for a renowned House/Electro DJ and Producer from London who remains anonymous. He recently contacted us with word of his new album 'Mistakes' being released in late September at most online retailers. He sent along his Soundcloud, Twitter and this press pic above which are basically the only things he has set up for the project. No website/myspace/facebook, etc.

You can stream 8 of the tracks on his Soundcloud link above. Really cool minimal experimental electronic music! Particularly love when he uses samples like on tracks "A51", "Miller" and "Follow" which he has sent our way for our readers downloading pleasure. Check it out and see what you think. Don't see any of his tracks on Hype Machine so we may be one of the first ones posting this. Enjoy!

Marco Mahler

Marco Mahler is a minimal solo artist from Portland, Oregon he is getting set to release his sophmore album Laptop Campfire Speed, June the 29th. He sent over the first 7 tracks from his new album and let us pick the 3 we like best to post for our readers. I kinda like that system. I am digging all the tracks he sent our way, so it wasn't an easy decision to make. He mixes minimal electronic music with traditional instruments for a very lovely effect. At times he reminds me of Grandaddy and he will probably appeal to fans of theirs. If you dig these tracks sign up to his email list on his site I linked above as he will be releasing one new song from the album every week.

Here's three of my faves to get you started...
