Goldroom :: New Remixes

LA's Goldroom that we've posted about a few times before is back with a couple great new remixes. One is for Niki & the Dove's "Mother Protect" and the other for Pat Lok's "No Shame". Digging them both, particularly the Niki & the Dove remix which he's offering as a free download. If you like the Pat Lok remix you'll have to fork over a a couple of bucks on Juno. Still worth the price of admission. Check those out below...

Goldroom :: Otono Mix 2011

As I usually do on Fridays I wanted to leave you with something dancey to get you excited for the weekend, especially since Halloween is upon us. Sure to be tons of craziness happening. Here is the latest DJ Mix by LA artist Goldroom who we've posted about before. Real smooth mix. He kinda has similar tastes as OTR so you're probably gonna hear a bunch of tracks on this that we've posted before. Good to hear it in DJ Mix form. You can grab the tracklisting on his soundcloud. Enjoy and have a fun/safe Halloween weekend!!

Goldroom

I'm home! Did you miss me? LA & San Francisco were amazing! Loved everything about it, particularly the fact that it was nice cool jacket weather in June, unheard of in Miami. Anyways wanted to get started right away, although I have many emails to go through. It might take me awhile to get fully caught up. Here's one that I was about to post before my trip, but I ran out of time.

Goldroom is the solo side project of Josh one of the dudes from Binary's Nightwaves. With his side project he continues with a similar nu-disco tradition that we all know and love, but with a little added carribean flair on "Morgan's Bay" perfect for summer. He has three tracks up on soundcloud with "Morgan's Bay" being offered as a free download. Check that out below, you can sample the other two on his soundcloud I linked above. He's gonna be busy remixing Penguin Prison as well. Can't wait for that, in the meantime enjoy this goodie.

Le Youth :: Goldroom (Remix)

Los Angeles DJ/producer/remixer Le Youth sent along his new remix for Goldroom's latest track "Angeles" and we think he did a fabulous job! Great breezy summer feeling remix that has been stuck on repeat at headquarters. Glad to have him on our Radar. Hopefully you guys will too. Check out that remix below and if you like what you hear it's free for the taking.

Goldroom :: Fifteen (Video/Remix)

Ray posted Goldroom's nostalgic electronic track "Fifteen" back in May here. Now, enjoy the great new video plus this awesome remix of the feel-good summer song.

Goldroom :: Embrace

Happy Monday! LA's Goldroom has a new track out called "Embrace" ft Ariela Jacobs on vocals. It's another excellent electro-pop dance track from this amazing artist that we've been covering for years. The track is part of an EP of the same name with several other excellent tracks that you can check out/buy on iTunes.

On a side note be sure to find Goldroom on instagram. I follow him on there and he's always posting amazing serene pics.

Goldroom :: Verano Mix 2013 (DJ Mix)

Has it been a year already since last verano? Yes it has and that means it's time for another dreamy summer DJ Mix by one of our favorites Goldroom! Just like all this fellows work he once again proves his impeccable music in taste. Loving this mix which will work nicely poolside, in your car or playing in the background while you try to get some work done. Check out the stream below and if you like what you hear you can download this sucker for free! Tracklisting's up on his soundcloud. Enjoy!

Goldroom :: Otoño Mix 2014 (DJ Mix)

Haven't been posting too many DJ mixes lately cause frankly haven't been getting sent too many good ones. Today that changed as I spotted the new Goldroom DJ Mix Otoño 2014 (which means fall for you non-spanish speaking folks). This fellows quarterly DJ mixes are always on point, so much so that I still carry his Otoño DJ mix from 2013 in my DJ bag for when I need a little break at a gig.

Here's his latest with tons of new goodies and as always it's a free download.

Le Youth :: Dance With Me

Since we're on the subject of Goldroom thought I'd post this new track "Dance With Me" by LA's Le Youth who we previously posted a great remix he did for Goldroom's track "Angeles" here. This new original track is super nu-disco goodness with some slight hip hop elements that I can't wait to play in my DJ Sets. You can get the track for free just by liking his facebook page. Not a bad deal. Check it...

Goldroom :: Angeles

Goldroom has a new single dedicated to the city they love Los Angeles called "Angeles". Another smooth electro funk winner. Love the real bass and guitar action. Check it...

Goldroom :: Morgan's Bay (Video)

The new video for Goldroom's excellent track "Morgan's Bay" reminds me of only one thing summer, summer, summer time. It's almost that time of year and this video will transport you there now. Enjoy!

Goldroom :: Till Sunrise ft Mammals

Even though Goldroom released the stems for his new track "Till Sunrise" ft Mammals prior to the release of the single, his PR rep and I are in agreement that his original version is still the best version out there! I mean there's bound to be a few amazing re-interpretations, but this is one solid dreamy pop jem, as per usual for the talented producer.

Owl Eyes :: Nightswim (Video) + Goldroom Remix

Australian artist Owl Eyes which Ray posted about earlier this year here has a great video for her track "Nightswim". The track, which shares the same name as her album, is one of those tracks that you just want to play on repeat. The song is very chill and definitely should be played during a night swim. Check that out below...

As a bonus here's also an excellent Goldroom remix for her track "Jewels & Sapphires".

OTR's Favorite Singles of 2011

Hope you had a great Christmas! Ready for New Years?!? For fun I went through my 2011 playlists and picked out some of my favorite singles of the year. I arranged them in some type of cohesive order, but not really best to worst or anything. The only exceptions being track one & two M83's "Midnight City" and Gotye's "Somebody I Used to Know" that are probably my two favorite singles of the year. I included links where you can read posts we did on OTR throughout the year, grab the mp3, check out the video or all of it. Lots of great material/music for you. Enjoy!

P.S. This list doesn't include remixes which there were tons of amazing ones this year that would make up a whole other list.
